Cleaning a pressure cooker

Cleaning the pressure cooker

A pressure cooker is an indispensable kitchen helper – fast, efficient, and perfect for flavorful dishes. However, proper cleaning is crucial to ensure consistently optimal results.

In our guide, we show you how to clean your Fissler pressure cooker step by step, which parts need special attention, and how to avoid typical mistakes.

And here's how it works:

1. Pre-cleaning

Remove the sealing ring, cooking crown and lid style and clean by hand with a damp cloth.

2. Loosen the fastening screw

To loosen the lid handle, turn the fastening screw on the inside counterclockwise. To loosen the chef's crown, turn the bell nut on the inside counterclockwise.

3. Dishwasher safe

The pot body and lid (without the above attachments) are dishwasher safe.

4. Attach the accessories

After cleaning, securely reattach all parts to the pot. Ensure that the cooking valve seal fits snugly against the cooking crown all the way around and that the seal is seated in its designated notch. The sealing ring must also be reinserted into its designated notch.

Spare parts

Important: Wear parts (e.g. sealing ring) must be replaced after 400 cooking cycles or 2 years.
