180 years of Fissler: Summer festival as a strong sign of solidarity
Idar-Oberstein/Neubrücke, September 2, 2025 – Fissler celebrated its 180th anniversary last Friday with a large family summer festival. Around 1,050 employees and their families – including 100 children – gathered at the factory premises in Neubrücke to commemorate this special milestone together.
The long-established family business, firmly rooted in Idar-Oberstein since 1845, once again demonstrated its gratitude to the people who shape Fissler day after day with their dedication. In addition to music, entertainment, and a diverse children's program, the festival offered interactive health and mobility demonstrations as well as exclusive factory tours.
The tours proved to be a real crowd-pleaser: five sessions were offered, and the participant lists filled up immediately – many people spontaneously added their names. Thanks to pre-recorded videos, the families gained a vivid impression of the production process and clear insights into manufacturing processes and training content – and were able to experience firsthand what the company has stood for for 180 years.
“This celebration is an expression of pride, gratitude, and confidence. We are a company with a long history – but what truly makes us strong are our employees. Their dedication, their skills, and the team spirit we experience here are the foundation for a successful future. Trust is not built through words, but through joint action – and that is precisely what we have impressively demonstrated in recent months,” emphasized Frank Böttcher, CEO of Fissler, in his speech.
A highlight of the day was the presentation of the exclusive anniversary edition Original-Profi Collection® ShadowLine , limited to 1,800 pieces worldwide. One piece was raffled off – the lucky winner accepted the anniversary item with visible surprise and joy.
With this summer festival, Fissler not only demonstrated its deep roots in the Idar-Oberstein region, but also its clear vision for the future: tradition and future united in a strong partnership – supported by the Fissler family. Or, as Böttcher summed it up: "We are Fissler."
