Use your pressure cooker as usual with the corresponding cooking levels and, if needed, place the trivet insert inside the pot. The cooking levels depend on the cooking method and the dish. Vitavit® Premium pressure cookers have 3 cooking levels.

Cooking levels and cooking times of the Vitavit® Premium pressure cookers

Level 3 (116 °C, express cooking level)

• This corresponds to approximately ⅓ to ½ the cooking time with a conventional cooking pot and is ideal for meat or stews.

Level 2 (113 °C, rapid cooking level)

• Approximately 25% longer than level 3 and well suited for less delicate vegetables.

Level 1 (110 °C, slow cooker level)

• Approximately 50% longer than level 3 and well suited for delicate vegetables or fish.

The Vitaquick® series pressure cookers have 2 cooking levels.

Stage 2 (116 °C, express cooking stage)

• This corresponds to approximately ⅓ to ½ the cooking time with a conventional cooking pot and is ideal for meat or stews.

Level 1 (110 °C, slow cooker level)

• Approximately 50% longer than level 3 and well suited for delicate vegetables or fish.

Fill a pot with a minimum amount of water. The exact amount of liquid needed depends on the recipe.

1. Use the fill level indicator in the pot to measure your liquids correctly. Adhere to the maximum fill level specified in the instructions.
2. Place the chopped vegetables in the perforated insert.
3. Place the tripod in the pressure cooker and put the insert on top.
4. Set the cooking crown to level 2 (Vitavit® Premium) or level 1 (Vitaquick® Premium) and heat the pot at maximum stove power.
5. Reduce the heat as soon as the yellow ring appears and let the contents cook in the pot. Cooking time varies depending on the amount of ingredients.To the cooking time finder
6. After cooking, release the steam from the pot and remove the insert.

At the end of the cooking time, the pressure cooker can be easily and safely released using the steam release function on the handle. The Vitavit® Premium can also be conveniently released via the steaming crown.

Broccoli cooked in a pressure cooker with insert

1. Fill the Vitavit® Premium pressure cooker with a minimum amount of water.
2. Place the broccoli in the perforated insert.
3. Place the tripod in the pressure cooker and put the insert on top.
4. Set the cooking crown to "steam cooking" and heat the pot.
5. Since no pressure is built up during steam cooking, the cooking crown does not rise and the pot can be opened at any time without prior steam release.
6. Tip: Remove the hot insert from the pressure cooker using a fork after the cooking time has elapsed.

1. Briefly sear the meat in a pressure cooker at the beginning to keep it nice and juicy.
2. Pour in some broth or other liquid and add herbs or spices if desired.
3. Clean and evenly slice the side dishes, such as vegetables. Place the side dishes in the steamer or cooking basket.
4. Place the accompanying tripod on the bottom of the pot above the meat and put the insert on top.
5. Now close the lid. After the lid clicks securely into place, which you will hear on the handle, bring the pressure cooker to a boil over full heat. The pressure will now begin to build.
6. As soon as the first ring becomes visible on the cooking valve, the cooking time begins and the heat can be reduced.
7. Once the cooking time is complete, the pressure cooker needs to be released. Depending on the model, this is done via the steam release function on the lid or the handle. The pressure cooker can only be opened once it is completely depressurized.
8. First, lift the insert out of the opened pressure cooker. Thanks to the handle, which is slightly curved inwards in the middle, this works particularly well with the help of a tablespoon.

4. Set the cooking knob to level 3 and heat the pot at maximum stove power.

6. After the cooking time, release the steam from the pot using the steam release function on the cooking crown or handle, remove the insert and transfer the juice from the pot for further use.
7. Tip: Most of the water in the pot evaporates during cooking. If you want 100% juice, you can place a second, unperforated insert on a tripod inside the pressure cooker to collect the juices. The perforated insert, along with the food, can then be placed on top of the unperforated one. Be sure to note the maximum fill level: This method, where two inserts are stacked in the pot, requires a pressure cooker larger than 4.5 liters.
