Infobox: In short: this is why Fissler pressure cookers are safe
In 1953, Fissler invented a multi-stage safety pressure cooker valve, making the pressure cooker safe for home use for the first time. All Fissler pressure cookers are equipped with safety valves and meet strict safety standards. Pressure can only build up inside the pot when it is properly sealed. Fissler pressure cookers are self-regulating and automatically release the pressure if it becomes too high. The pressure cooker should only be opened once the pressure has completely dissipated. These safety features ensure that using a Fissler pressure cooker is very safe.

This is how the Fissler safety system and the cooking valve of Fissler pressure cookers work.

  • The cooking crown with traffic light function, the Euromatic cooking valve, the special sealing ring and the ergonomic Fissler safety handle with locking indicator ensure that the potsecurely and airtight sealedis.
  • Heating produces steam, which contains substances harmful to vitamins.oxygen escapeleaves.
  • Once the oxygen has escaped,The Euromatic cooking valve closesand the pressure build-up begins. The pressure indicator shows the pressure in the pressure cooker.
For the safety system and the cooking valve to function properly, the lid must close securely using the seal.

When do the valve seals need to be replaced?

The valve seals only need to be replaced in rare cases. See the instruction manual for more information.
