Coated aluminum pans are suitable for gently and crisply frying delicate foods without anything sticking. However, there are differences here as well, since the non-stick coatings can be made of various materials.
The most popular coating is the classic polytetrafluoroethylene, or PTFE for short. Ceramic pans, on the other hand, are manufactured without the use of PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) or PTFE. Fissler ceramic pans also have a ceramic coating free of PFAS/PTFE.
